Professional Achievements:
In 1991 he got his PhD with topic about compression-distraction method for the treatment of congenital dislocation of the thighs in adolescents.
He developed a method for treating axial deformities of the lower extremities, a splint for treating congenital hip dislocation, a device for treating defects of the proximal part of the femur, a device for compression osteosynthesis for corrective osteotomies, a device for lengthening the metatarsal bones, a device for osteosynthesis of bones, a device for lengthening the metatarsal bones and phalanx of the toes. Under his leadership, specialized orthopedic care was provided to more than 2,000 school-age children. More than 500 of them by M. Saliev underwent complex surgical interventions.
The result of many years of activity of M.Saliev is the establishment of an operative treatment of scoliosis at the Center. He performed more than 200 operations for scoliosis using modern technologies. Today, the center is the leading hospital of the Republic for surgical treatment of scoliosis.
He improved his qualifications during internships in large foreign clinics in Russia (Kurgan, Novosibirsk), Belarus (Minsk), Austria (Salzburg), Poland (Bialstock), China (Urumqi).
He actively participated in international scientific forums of orthopedic traumatologists in Russia and Kazakhstan. In 2014, he made a presentation at the congress of the International Society of Orthopedic Traumatologists in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
Author of 1 monograph, 96 scientific papers, 15 patents of the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Under his leadership, 3 PhD theses were defended.
